42.2-43.4 GHz Transceiver Module

Trigiant Tech. has recently developed a Q-band point-to-point high speed communication system which is indeed a pair of transceivers operated in 42.2-43.4 GHz and located separately. Two tranceivers employed the same T/R-at-hetero-freq architecture design with high/low LO pumpings, where the T/R front end is integrated by 4 functional modules that are mmW T/R, phase-locked frequency sources, IF&channel switching, DC supply&signal processing respectively. Both TX ad RX chains use the single up/down frequency conversion structure and the IF frequency is 1.5 GHz±100 MHz. The 10.2 GHz/11.2 GHz phase-locked signal from PLLs are 4 time multiplied /amplified, and then provided to the fundamental mixers as LO pumpings. The AGC at IF module enhances RX’s dynamic range.
