In radio communication, a transceiver is an electronic device which is a combination of a radio transmitter and a receiver. It can both transmit and receive radio waves using an antenna. With the increase of the communication frequency these two related functions are often combined in a single device called T/R module to reduce manufacturing costs. Transmitting power and receiving sensitivity are two main performance indexes of a T/R module.
